The Last of Us star takes to social media as episode 6 leaves fans ‘crying’

Pedro Pascal has shared cute behind the scenes images with Bella Ramsey after The Last of Us episode 6 which has had fans in tears.

The penultimate episode of the post-apocalyptic series’ second season sees Pascal return as Joel having been killed off in the season’s second episode. Minor spoilers ahead!

Episode six is told via flashbacks most of which explore more of Joel and Ellie’s relationship. We see how the two grow apart in the years between the first and second seasons.

Posting on Instagram afterward, Pascal shared some sweet images of him with his younger co-star looking cute and cuddly. A far cry from the high tensions of the episode!

He captioned the image simply, “Always” and added The Last of Us‘ hashtag.

In the comments people gave their opinions of the pair as well as the episode in general. “This episode had me crying happy and sad tears. Incredible performance from both of you!!!”

After finishing the episode one person put “I’m still actively crying.” Another added: “This episode had me tore up from the floor up.”

One fan called for an “EMMY FOR PEDRO & BELLA,” which garnered a lot of support.

Reactions to the latest episode generally seem positive with Esquire describing it as The Last of Us “at its very best.”

With one episode left to go fans will be keen to see how the seasons turns out. Thankfully, season three has already been green lit, and as fans of the video game The Last of Us Part II can attest, there is plenty of material still to cover.

So, we can hopefully look forward to more fantastic storytelling.

The Last of Us airs on Sundays on HBO in the US, and the following day on Sky Atlantic in the UK.
