All Stars 10 queen Irene the Alien has addressed the relationship between her and former drag daughter, season 17 star Arrietty, claiming that the latter ‘truly tried it’.
RuPaul’s Drag Race is back for All Stars 10 – but the shade is interseason, honey.
After three episodes of redemption for Irene the Alien, who was eliminated first on season 15 in 2023, the domination of Seattle queens on Drag Race continues, with the extraterrestrial beauty upholding the legacy set by Jinkx Monsoon, BenDeLaCreme, Bosco and more.
The latest in Seattle queens to join the roster is season 17 star Arrietty, who made quite the splash on season 17, placing eighth. At one point, Irene was Arrietty’s drag mother – but it doesn’t seem like that any more.
Prompted by Drag Race firestarter Mistress Isabelle Brooks (of course) in the latest video for her YouTube channel titled “Interviewing CELEBRITY ICONS at the All Stars 10 Premiere Party!”, Irene was asked what her relationship with Arrietty is, and whether she is “still associated” with the season 17 queen.
“No,” answered Irene. “I actually gave her a whole rundown of stuff she should be doing on the show and she didn’t listen to me.”
Mistress then continued, “How would you describe your situation with Arrietty? Because that was or is your drag daughter.”
Irene responded, “Not any longer. I will say this: I never forgive someone who f*cks with my money, my character, or my mans… she truly tried it.”
The pair do not currently follow each other on social media, and while Arrietty hasn’t explicitly addressed the segement, she did post to X, “If y’all only knew the real T. Imma keep it cute because I’m trying to grow.”
The interview with Mistress follows another interaction that occured at Roscoe’s Tavern during an All Stars 10 viewing party featuring Irene and Deja Skye.
Uploaded to Reddit, a clip from the 16 May viewing party at the Chicago gay bar saw host Kara Mel D’Ville ask Irene, “Were you able to support [Arrietty] getting ready for [season 17], and were you able to do the same getting ready for All Stars?”
Irene replied, “No comment.”
Arrietty declined to comment when contacted by PinkNews.
So what happened between Irene and Arrietty?
