- For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions, “The Promoter” refers to PinkNews whose Facebook page is http://facebook.com/pinknews. The “Main Prize” refers to a Brighton Pride 2025 VIP weekend for two (taking place on Saturday 2 August 2025 and Sunday 3 August 2025), including Golden Circle Tickets, Accommodation and Travel, along with a £500 donation to an LGBTQ+ charity or an animal charity of the winner’s choice. The “Runner-Up Prize” refers to a £100 donation to an LGBTQ+ charity or animal charity of the runners-up’s choice.
- The Promoter is managing the competition supported by Petgevity (the trading name of TICORP Limited) and all entrants will be shared with Petgevity.
- Competition prizes will be supplied by Petgevity.
- By entering the competition you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. All entries (in the form of photo comments on the Facebook competition post) must be received by 5pm on 20 June 2025. Entries posted after this time will not be counted.
- The Promoter’s competition with entry via Facebook is open only to residents of Great Britain (excluding Northern Ireland).
- Only entries featuring dogs and/or cats will be accepted.
- One Main Prize winner and ten runners-up will be selected at the discretion of The Promoter and Petgevity. The winner and the runners-up will be selected by The Promoter and Petgevity on 20 June 2025 and they will be notified on or after this date.
- No purchase is necessary. Winners are not required to pay to enter the competition.
- Entrants must be over 18 years old on the date of their entry.
- Employees of The Promoter, Petgevity or TICORP are not eligible to enter.
- Facebook, Meta and other social media platforms on which this competition is promoted are not in any way affiliated or involved in the competition.
- Only one entry per person will be accepted.
- Each entrant shall enter the competition via Facebook by posting a photo of their cat or dog along with a text caption in the comments of the competition post on this page http://facebook.com/pinknews.
- The Main Prize and Runner-Up Prizes will be awarded to a winner and 10 runners-up who have entered on Facebook. The Promoter nor Petgevity will be held liable if the named Main Prize or Runner-Up prizes become unavailable or cannot be fulfilled.
- Winners and runners-up are chosen at the discretion of The Promoter and Petgevity.
- The Promoter reserves the right to offer the Main Prize and the Runner-Up prizes to an alternative winner and runners-up if the initially selected winner and runners-up do not respond to the notification that they have been selected for a prize.
- The Promoter will not be held liable for any failure of receipt of entries. The Promoter takes no responsibility for any entries that are lost, delayed, illegible, corrupted, damaged, incomplete or otherwise invalid.
- To the extent permitted by applicable law, The Promoter’s liability under or in connection with the competition or these terms and conditions shall be limited to the cost price of the Main Prize and Runner-Up Prizes in question.
- To the extent permitted by applicable law, The Promoter shall not be liable under or in connection with these terms and conditions, the competition or any Main Prize or Runner-Up prizes for any indirect, special or consequential cost, expense, loss or damage suffered by a participant even if such cost, expense, loss or damage was reasonably foreseeable or might reasonably have been contemplated by the participant and The Promoter and whether arising from breach of contract, tort, negligence, breach of statutory duty or otherwise.
- Prizes are non-negotiable, non-transferable and non-refundable. No cash alternative is available. Where a Prize becomes unavailable for any reason, Petgevity reserves the right to substitute that prize for a prize of equal or higher value.
- The name, email address and phone number of the winner must be provided to The Promoter if requested and will be shared with Petgevity and third parties to enable fulfilment of the Prize.
- In the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond The Promoter’s reasonable control, The Promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition or these terms and conditions, either in whole or in part, with or without notice.
- The Promoter’s decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into regarding the outcome of the competition.
- The winner’s and runners-up’ names, social media usernames and entrant images may be posted on the social media profiles of The Promoter and/or Petgevity after the winner and runners-up have been selected.
- By entering this competition, the winners and runners-up agree to the usage of their entry photos and/or the story they share by The Promoter and/or Petgevity for marketing purposes at the full discretion thereof, including but not limited to featuring in a PinkNews ‘Pets of Pride’ social media campaign supported by Petgevity.
- The Promoter and Petgevity reserve the right to contact the winner and runners-up of the competition for potential future marketing collaboration opportunities.
