England footballer Leah Williamson sparks fresh dating rumours with Elle Smith after holiday snaps

Ahead of the 2025 Women’s Euros, Leah Williamson and her rumoured girlfriend, Elle Smith, jetted off to Majorca for a pre-tournament break.
Leah Williamson, one of the superstar LGBTQ+ Lionesses footy stars heading to the UEFA Women’s Euro 2025, has long been romantically linked to Elle Smith and recently strengthened the rumours with their holiday Instagram posts and comments.
Williamson, who plays for the Women’s Super League club Arsenal and captains the England women’s national team, came out as bisexual in 2022, she’s also been a long-time activist and supporter of the LGBTQ+ community.
The 28-year-old versatile player, who plays in central defence or midfield, has been rumoured to be dating former Miss USA and American model Elle Smith for a few years.
Ahead of the Euros, Leah Williamson and Elle Smith holidayed together on the gorgeous, sunny Mediterranean island of Majorca and have since posted about the trip.
The pair got up to all sorts on their holiday, soaking up the sun and trying their hand at paddle boarding.
It seems they had such a great time that they are already planning a follow-up Majorca trip.
On her Instagram, Williamson’s post included a couple of images with Smith. Smith commented on the post: “same time next year? x”
Williamson responded: “yes please x”
The trip certainly appeared like a romantic getaway, but neither has explicitly confirmed the status of their relationship.
Sharing more images of the holiday on Sunday (15 June), a number of photographs on their separate posts are the same.
For instance, matching images include Smith smiling and waving in the sun, Smith sitting down under a tree with her hair tied back and another image of her reading Coco Mellors’ novel Blue Sisters, a book that includes a queer central character.
Smith seemingly hinted at a relationship with Williamson earlier this year, in March, posting a happy birthday message with a video of the pair relaxing in bikinis on a sea float, Williamson’s head in Smith’s lap.
Smith captioned the post: “happy birthday my love x”
Fans of both the model and the footballer celebrated the romantic-seeming,post in the comments. “Hard launchhh!!” one wrote, another added “Quite possibly the most beautiful couple on earth”
Who has Leah Williamson dated in the past?
Williamson has remained private about her dating history over the years, but that hasn’t stopped rumours circulating about who she is romantically linked to.
Previously, she has been linked to English footballer and former Arsenal player player Jordan Nobbs.
The pair were photographed holding hands and seemed to have a close bond on and off the pitch. However, their alleged romance was never publicly confirmed.
Additionally, Williamson was linked to Mason Childs. The pair would often post photos together, with Williamson sharing a loving post for Childs’ 21st birthday.
“My boy from day dot is 21,” she wrote. “So grateful for the love and support you have given me travelling all over. Can’t wait for many more memories.”
The pair have known each other since childhood, and both played football competitively throughout their youth, so it’s worth noting that their closeness may have just been good, old-fashioned friendship.
When are the 2025 Women’s Euros?
The Women’s Euro 2025, where the Lionesses will try to lift the trophy again, will be played in Switzerland from 2 to 27 July 2025.
Coach Sarina Wiegman has assembled her team, though there have been a number of surprise exits including Mary Earps, Fran Kirby and Millie Bright, who have withdrawn from selection.
Nevertheless, a number of LGBTQ+ football stars will be taking to the field. Joining Williamson are Lucy Bronze, Jess Carter, Lauren Hemp, Beth Mead and Keira Walsh.
The UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 tournament will be played in Switzerland from 2 to 27 July 2025.
