Hollywood superstar Brad Pitt has said it’s too late in life now for him to have a “gay experience”.

The 61-year-old actor, currently in cinemas in F1 The Movie, has been dating jewellery designer Ines de Ramon since 2022, and spoke about his sexuality to Dax Shepard on Armchair Expert on Monday (24 June).

“You know, I’ve never had a gay experience,” the Sleepers and Se7en star said. “I kind of missed that window, but if I did, it wouldn’t be you.”  Shepard would only make the cut as his “14th or 15th” gay experience, the star joked.

The podcast host responded: “I don’t want to brag but you’re going to need to build up to me. I recommend you start with some starters.”

‘I hope I teach my kids to be who they really are’

Pitt, who shot to fame after appearing in Thelma & Louise 34 years ago, having had small roles on TV in show such as Dallas and Growing Pains, has previously said that he didn’t care if any of his children were gay.

“Would it bother me if a child of mine turns out to be gay? No, not one bit,” he told Parade magazine. “I want my kids to live the lives they want to live, I want them to be fulfilled. I hope I teach my kids to be who they really are.”

Pitt has six children with ex-wife Angelina Jolie: Maddox, 23, Pax, 21, Zahara, 20, Shiloh, who is 19, and 16-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.

Pitt has spoken about his issues with alcohol since splitting from Jolie, stating he had been “pretty much on [my] knees” and had attended Alcoholics Anonymous meetings.

“I was trying anything and everything, anything anyone threw at me… it was a difficult time. I needed rebooting,” he said.
