One year after undergoing her “bad girl” transformation for her song “Karma”, JoJo Siwa is changing her look again.

After ditching her rainbow hair bows and bedazzled bomber jackets for KISS-inspired make-up and a spray painted mohican last year, the 22-year-old declared that she was firmly in her “bad girl” era.

Yet just over a year later, and she’s swung so far the other way – into a sort of 1930s Christian housewife Disney princess hybrid – that fans can hardly recognise her.

In a new, brief TikTok teasing the release of her cover of Kim Carnes’ “Bette Davis Eyes”, Siwa appeared in a wavy, retro blonde wig, frilly blue crop top, and pearl necklace.

She sings the song’s chorus in her signature raspy vocals.

JoJo Siwa has teased her upcoming music video. The “Karma” singer posted a video of her singing a cover of Kim Carnes’ 1981 hit ‘Bette Davis Eyes’, which JoJo says she is thinking of releasing on streaming services. In the video, JoJo looks unrecognizable, sporting a 1930s-inspired blonde wig, a pearl necklace and a frilly blue crop top. JoJo is seemingly channeling Bette Davis herself, an old Hollywood American actress. JoJo first sang ‘Bette Davis Eyes’ during her US and European tour over the past few months. However, in a sweet nod to her new beau Chris Hughes, she decided to change the lyrics. Instead of “Bette Davis Eyes”, she changed it to “Chris Hughes’ Eyes” – although it seems her studio recorded version will stay true to the original. Chris took to JoJo’s TikTok comments to show his support, writing: ‘Ugh so good, you’re perfect’ Alongside the video teaser, JoJo wrote in the caption: ‘After performing this song live and then seeing the beautiful response to it, I decided to go record a studio vocal…. I’m undecided if I should release it on Spotify or not…. Would you want me to?!!! if you would, I’m thinking maybe end of this week?’ #jojosiwa #chrishughes #bettedavis #bigbrother #lgbtqia

The shocking new look appears to be inspired by the subject of Carnes’ original song, 11-time Oscar winning Hollywood actress Bette Davis, who died in 1989 aged 81.

Accompanying the clip, which seems to be taken from an upcoming music video for her cover, Siwa teased that the song could be released on streaming platforms as soon as this week.

“After performing this song live and then seeing the beautiful response to it, I decided to go record a studio vocal,” she wrote.

“I’m undecided if I should release it on Spotify or not…. Would you want me to?!!! If you would, I’m thinking maybe end of this week?”

During her stay in the house, Siwa explained that she no longer identifies as a lesbian, and instead believes she is queer. While on the reality show, she got close to former Love Island star and fellow housemate Chris Hughes, with the pair eventually confirming weeks after leaving the house that they are a couple.

“It’s not platonic any more, and it’s been a beautiful development, a beautiful connection, and I’m absolutely head over heels for him and he’s the same way,” she told The Guardian in June.

While performing her “Bette Davis Eyes” cover on tour, Siwa began changing the lyrics from “Bette Davis eyes” to “Chris Hughes’s eyes”.

After she posted the clip from the upcoming music video on social media, Hughes commented: “Ugh so good, you’re perfect.”

Her jaw-dropping transformation has left fans on social media with theories, questions, and concerns.

JoJo Siwa going from Goth punk pop wannabe to housewife was not on my 2025 bingo card,” wrote one.

“She’s in her trad wife era,” a second shared.
