TV personality and model Christine McGuinness reportedly had a “fun” fling with a top soap actress, following her split from husband Paddy.

Christine and Top Gear host Paddy announced in 2022 that they had made the “difficult decision to separate” after 11 years of marriage, adding that their “main focus, as always, is to continue loving and supporting our children”. They divorced last year and it appears the fling came sometime in between.

There has been speculation about The Real Housewives of Cheshire star’s sexuality, and ahead of a scheduled appearance on Celebs Go Dating, she was said to be open to dating both men and women.

In June, she opened up about the subject for the first time, saying she dated men and women before meeting Paddy and it was “never a secret for me”.

‘They really enjoyed the evening’

According to a source who spoke to The Sun, Christine met the actress, who is also said to have dated men and women, at an awards ceremony in 2023, where they partied and “had fun together”.

The source said: “Christine was single at the time and they really enjoyed the evening of the awards bash. There was a strong chemistry between them and they shared some messages but it never went any further after that.”

Despite the divorce, Christine and Paddy still live together in their Cheshire mansion, for the sake of their children.

She previously told podcast How to Fail with Elizabeth Day: “It’s not like women are better or worse, it’s simply that the connection for me is different.

“I need a connection now, I need something different. I love my family and Patrick is part of my family and always will be. But now for my next relationship, I know what I want and I want someone for me.”
