Lady Gaga’s Little Monsters have caused carnage during the opening night of the star’s Mayhem Ball, by flooding the stage’s big screen with hilarious NSFW messages.
Last night (16 July) saw Gaga begin her worldwide Mayhem Ball in Las Vegas. But before the set began, she projected a series of messages from fans onto the screen as part of a pre-show ritual titled “Voices of Mayhem”.
Fittingly, mayhem did ensue. Fans used a form on Gaga’s website to submit their statements, alongside the option to share their name, producing some pretty crude, jaw-dropping messages.
A message from 30-year-old “Alex” from New York City was projected onto the screen, which read: “First time I ate p***y was to ‘Born This Way’ – thanks for always being there for me Gaga!”

“My husband and I bone to Mayhem sometimes,” came a message from “Joey”. “We are gay. Hi everyone.”
A message from 19-year-old “Wolfyy” on the screen read: “My boyfriend and I couldn’t stop gagging when Mayhem came out, and of course he came inside me as well.”
Instead of writing vulgar messages, a handful of Lady Gaga fans used the opportunity to spread political calls to action.
“No human is illegal. Melt ICE. F**k Trump,” one message read.
Another came: “F Donald Trump. Trans lives matter, and FREE PALESTINE.”

While most of the messages projected during the Voices of Mayhem segment were sweet celebrations of the “Abracadabra” singer, some fans now believe the idea may soon be canned because of the rude messages.
“This segment will definitely be deleted for the rest of the tour,” one fan guessed on social media.
“CAN Y’ALL BEHAVE?! Also is there no moderator?!” asked a second.
A third wept: “RIP Voices of Mayhem. They’re gonna silence us now.”

The rest of Lady Gaga’s Mayhem Ball opening night got off to a swimming start, with the pop icon performing most of her new record Mayhem, plus major hits including “Bad Romance”, “Applause” and “Poker Face”.
She also performed fan favourite Artpop track “Aura” plus “Summerboy” from her debut album The Fame. The latter hasn’t been performed by Gaga since her pre-fame days in 2007.
Some Little Monsters were left disappointed to see that no songs were included in the show from Gaga’s previous album, 2020’s Chromatica.
Yet one moment fans raved about was Gaga donning a huge, billowing white cape during her performance of 2009 hit “Paparazzi”.
The cape, which is hoisted into the air, turns rainbow as Gaga sings. It’s a possible nod to her long-standing support of the LGBTQ+ community.
