All right everyone, gird your loins! Anne Hathaway has given fans a first look at her character in The Devil Wears Prada 2, and fans are spinning.
The sequel to the iconic 2006 film starring Hathaway as the initially anti-fashion intern at Runway Magazine Andrea “Andy” Sachs is officially in the works after moving at what fans considered a 19-year glacial pace.
Also starring Meryl Streep as the cutthroat magazine editor Miranda Priestly, Emily Blunt as Miranda’s quick-witted first assistant Emily Charlton and Stanley Tucci as Miranda’s ever-fashionable confidant Nigel, the four main characters are all billed to reprise their iconic roles, as per The Guardian.
Now, in a first look at the highly anticipated follow-up, The Idea of You’s Hathaway shared a photo of herself on set in costume.
“Andy Sachs 2025,” she captioned the image on Monday (21 July), which features the star posing in a suave black pinstripe vest and matching cigarette trousers combo – and we’re pretty sure even Miranda would approve.
Paparazzi images also captured the star on the set of The Devil Wears Prada 2 on the streets of New York, appearing to run errands in character as Andy.

Hathaway modelled a variety of looks, including her previously shared trouser suit, a multi-coloured mosaic maxi dress and a cream bucket hat, paired with a Runway Magazine garment bag and suitcase, a denim maxi skirt and a white racer-back cami.
To add even more fuel to the fire, the actress also posted a TikTok on the same day wearing a cerulean blue jumper (cue Miranda’s iconic monologue) and brushing her teeth before “heading to werk #dwp2.”

Another clip shared to Instagram on Tuesday (22 July) captioned “dwp2” saw the star stepping in front of a “2” statue and posing in the maxi dress and bucket hat combo.
Fans quickly rallied around the social media posts to share their excitement, with one writing: “Never been more excited for a movie like I am now.”

“Screaming omg,” said another, while a third commented, “My inner teenager is screaming.”
Last month, 20th Century Studios shared a fashionably moreish teaser for the film, which is set to see “Priestly dealing with the collapse of the magazine industry, now forced to build bridges with her one-time assistant Emily (Blunt), who is the head of a luxury brand and its advertising spend.”

Helmed by the original film’s director David Frankel, The Devil Wears Prada 2 is set for a May 2026 release date. That’s all.
