Pedro Pascal’s first crush was an iconic male movie hero

Pedro Pascal has shared some of his early crushes – and one was an iconic male movie hero that we imagine many can agree with.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps star has been busy on the promo tour for the new Marvel flick, set to hit cinemas on Thursday 24 July. It sees Pascal star as Mister Fantastic/Reed Richards alongside Vanessa Kirby as The Invisible Woman/Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn as The Human Torch/Johnny Storm, and Ebon Moss Bachrach as The Thing/Ben Grimm.

As always with Pascal there have been many highlights and viral moments from the press tour, including his continued vocal allyship to the trans community. But the latest comes from an interview he did alongside his castmates in which the group was asked about their first crushes.

In the clip shared by the TikTok account Fotogramas, The Last of Us star Pedro says “it started with Olivia Newton John [in Grease]” before adding, “Michelle Pfieffer as Catwoman [Batman Returns]”.

The actor then named “Indiana Jones,” adding, “all the way to The Last Crusade,” before correcting himself, “all the way to now,” taking into account the more recent Indiana Jones films. “It’s sort of like a double Harrison Ford,” he said adding in Ford’s other most iconic character, Han Solo from the Star Wars franchise.

Kirby jumps in with Marlon Brando, another common crush which Pascal agrees with. “Marlon Brando appears on screen in A Streetcar Named Desire and you can’t even stay seated,” he then said. Well, we are seated for these choices.

Kirby named Jack from Titanic, Gerri Halliwell, Josh Hartnett, and her ski instructor. Bachrach offers Claudia Schiffer, Lisa Bonet, and Bo Derek while Quinn adds, “Angelina Jolie, Debbie Harry, and Madonna.” We approve of all of these!

The Fantastic Four: First Steps sees Marvel’s first family exist in a universe separate from that of the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. As the Earth’s protectors they are challenged when the world eating being, Galactus, stops by and demands the four make an unthinkable choice.
