Chappell Roan has announced a short US tour ahead of her new album, with profits from the concerts helping trans youth.

On Tuesday (23 July), Chappell Roan shared her first teaser for her single “The Subway”. In the short clip the “Pink Pony Club” singer sings, “I made a promise if in four months this feeling ain’t gone I’ll f**k this city / I’m moving to Saskatchewan.”

Chappell Roan has now released dates for her “Visions of Damsels and Other Dangerous Things” US pop-up concerts.

The “Red Wine Supernova” singer will kick off her tour with four dates at Forest Hills Stadiums in Forest Hills, New York, from 20 to 24 September, before heading to Kansas City’s Museum and Memorial Park on 3 and 4 October.

She will end her tour in Brookside, California at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena on 10 and 11 October.

Chappell Roan ‘wanted the chance to do something special’

The caption announcing the tour reads: “I am sooooo excited to announce my Pop-Up Shows in New York, Kansas City, and Los Angeles this fall 😀  I love these three cities so much + wanted the chance to do something special before going away to write the next album.”

She added that the choice of only three cities enabled her to keep “ticket prices as affordable as possible” and “keep them away from scalpers”.

In order to do so she shared that she has partnered with Cash App to offer 15 per cent cash-back on tickets purchased using the Cash App Visa debit card, while a ticketing process called Fair AXS is being utilised “to help get rid of bots and scalpers and make sure tickets end up in the hands of fans”.

“Also, we are giving $1 per ticket to organizations dedicated to supporting and providing resources for trans youth in each city,” she concluded the announcement
