RuPaul’s Drag Race two-time champion Jinkx Monsoon has come out as pansexual.

During an appearance on Ziwe’s YouTube show “You’d Be an Iconic Guest”, on Thursday (31 July), Jinkx opened up about her sexuality.

In the interview, Jinkx not only took aim at controversial author JK Rowling, but also discussed the anti-LGBTQ+ slurs she’s heard, revealing that she’s pansexual.

She said: “It’s weird to like leave my Broadway theatre where I’m like on Broadway, right? And then I walk home where someone calls me [censored slur],” she said.

“But it’s hilarious because, I mean, are we talking about trans masculine [censored slur] or like trans feminine [censored slur], which I clearly am. That’s an oxymoron, right? I’m clearly a straight woman. Well, pansexual.”

Ziwe responded, “pansexual,” to which Jinx said: “Yeah, but I ain’t no [censored slur].”

Pansexuality is part of the Bisexual+ Umbrella, meaning that it’s one of many identities in which someone is attracted to more than one gender. Every pansexual’s understanding of their sexuality is personal to them, but in general it means that they aren’t limited by sex or gender when it comes to those they’re attracted to.
