Wednesday season two is nearly upon us (Well, half of it anyway), but what time is it actually arriving on Netflix?

Jenna Ortega is returning as the titular Addams family child and judging by the trailer she is back to her mystery-solving ways in another year at Nevermore, and we already know, thanks to Ortega and director Tim Burton, that a third season has been given the green light.

Here’s everything we know about the new season.

When is Wednesday season two released and what time will it be on Netflix?

Season two will air in two parts. The first drops (appropriately) on Wednesday (6 August) and the second is due from 3 September. Each will have four episodes.

Wednesday season 2 part 1 will be released at 8am BST in the UK, which in the US will be 12am PT, 2am CT and 3am ET.

They will be joined by newcomers Steve Buscemi, as Principal Dort, Joanna Lumley, as Wednesday’s grandmother Hester Frump, Billie Piper, as Isadora Capri, and Lady Gaga as Rosaline Rotwood.

What is the plot for season two?

We don’t know for sure but promo materials have given us a few details. In trailers, Wednesday has been seen grappling with yet another mystery. This time, however, it revolves around her dorm mate Enid (Myers) with one premonition showing a far-from-happy ending.

The line between school and family life is set to be blurred this season. Not only does Pugsley (Ordonez) arrive at school, but also the trailers hint at a larger role for Morticia (Zeta-Jones).

Ortega has previously hinted that the new season will lean “into the horror aspect of the show a little bit more”, which might disappoint those hoping her character and Tyler (Doohan) get together.

Who created Wednesday?

The series was created by Beetlejuice Beetlejuice‘s Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, while Smallville director James Marshall and The Umbrella Academy‘s Paco Cabezas are among those joining Tim Burton in the director’s chair.

What do we know about season three?

Pretty much nothing although Netflix released a poster last month warning: “Bad things come in threes.”
