Peacemaker star Freddie Stroma has sparked a wave of thirst from fans after a scene from the most recent episode of the DC television series showed Vigilante in just some wet white briefs.

It’s been a big few weeks for male celebrities in (or out) of their underwear, with Chris Evans wearing a jockstrap in lesbian detective flick Honey, Don’t!, and KJ Apa getting his “hairy” bum out for new film The Map That Leads to You.

In the latest instalment of this trend (for which we are ever so grateful), enters Freddie Stroma as Adrian Chase/ Vigilante in the HBO Max superhero series Peacemaker.

Stroma, best known for his role in the Harry Potter film series as Cormac McLaggen, appears in the most recent episode, “A Man Is Only As Good As His Bird,” which first aired 28 August, wearing not a lot of clothes, but quite a lot of beer.

The episode (the second of season two), features a party on the roof of Emilia Harcourt’s (Jennifer Holland) apartment, during which Adrian/ Vigilante shows exactly what he’s packing under a shower of beer – and X is delighted.

“Finally some actual bulge in superhero media, thank you Freddie Stroma,” one account wrote in reference to the genre’s usually very tight but bulge-less spandex suits.

“Best part of the whole episode,” another added, while a third gave the academic assessment: “He’s packing in both the back and the front.” And good for him.

“Are they trying to kill me?” another asked.

Peacemaker as a series, which features John Cena in the titular role and is the highest-rated project of the DCU, has been surprisingly queer – and not just because of Freddie Stroma in wet underwear.

Peacemaker himself is confirmed to be bisexual, and will enjoy an orgy featuring characters of all genders later in the season.

In the trailer for the second season of James Gunn’s DC comic book based series, Cena’s Chris Smith – aka Peacemaker – is confronted by Adrian for having a “party” and not inviting him to it.

The party, as revealed, turns out to involve even less clothing than Vigilante’s beer shower.

Peacemaker season two releases episodes weekly on HBO Max.
