Demi Lovato has touched on the production of her upcoming album, saying she’s particularly proud of working with her husband on one song.

IT’S NOT THAT DEEP is out on 24 October, as Lovato confirmed yesterday, (Tuesday 16 September) via Instagram. Lovato, who uses she/her as well as they/them pronouns, has already released two tracks from the album, “Here All Night” and “Fast”.

Appearing on Watch What Happens Live! with Andy Cohen After Show yesterday, Lovato was asked about the album and working with her husband, Canadian songwriter Jordan “Jutes” Lutes.

They said it was “so great” working with him. “We wrote a lot of songs on my last album together. And with this project, he actually wrote a song of mine called ‘In My Head’ and I’m really proud of that one.”

They added: “He’s just so talented and I’m really proud of him.”

Lovato and Jutes married in May this year. They first met in 2022 and were engaged a year later.

“Skyscraper” singer Lovato told People in 2024, “I’ve waited my whole life for him. It’s very grounding to have a partner that is so supportive, so loving, so caring. It’s very easy to stay centered with him because I love him so much and he treats me so amazing.”

Posting about IT’S NOT THAT DEEP on Tuesday, Lovato said her ninth studio album “is a reflection of where i am now.” She went on to say she is “so proud of all the work I’ve done, and now, it’s time to celebrate and have some fun!!!”
