Singer Lola Young has shared a new health update after collapsing onstage during a performance at the All Things Go festival in New York over the weekend.

Lola Young was performing at the All Things Go festival at the Forest Hills Stadium in Queens, New York (27 September), when social media videos appeared to show the 24-year-old taking a step backwards before collapsing on stage while performing “Conceited” from her second album This Wasn’t Meant For You Anyway.

Young, who is bisexual, was rushed off stage by her team, and had told crowds earlier during her performance that she had “had a tricky couple of days” due to a “sensitive matter”.

The “Messy” star had offered fans a brief update shortly after the incident, posting to her Instagram Stories that day: “Hi, for anyone who saw my set at All Things Go today, I am doing OK now. Thank you for all of your support, Lola.”

She has now offered fans a longer update via an Instagram post, and confirmed that she has pulled out of the All Things Go festival due to take place 28 September in Washington, DC.

“I’m sorry to confirm that I won’t be playing all things go in DC today,” Lola Young wrote. “I love this job and I never take my commitments and audience for granted so I’m sorry to those who will be disappointed by this.”

She added: “I hope you’ll all give me another chance in the future. Thank you to all those who listen and care. To all the people that love to be mean online, pls give me a day off.”

The singer had previously cancelled a performance at New Jersey’s Prudential Centre on Friday (26 September).
