JoJo Siwa appears to kick audience member out of her Glasgow show over ‘egg meme’ outfit

Footage has emerged that appears to show former Dance Moms star JoJo Siwa kicking someone out of a gig in Glasgow, Scotland, with comments suggesting it was due to the person wearing an outfit that featured a meme mocking her hairline.

The “Karma” singer was performing at the SWG3 TV Studio in Glasgow last night (Wednesday 1 October) as part of her Infinity Heart tour. The tour dates were announced in July, causing some outage among Siwa’s US fans as the UK dates were announced after she cancelled her US tour.

In a TikTok shared late on Wednesday night by @debsmc88 Siwa can be seen onstage speaking to someone in the audience. “Come on,” Siwa says gesturing for someone to leave. When the person seems to protest Siwa replies, “No, you’re not going to come to my concert and bring a hoodie making fun of me, no way!”

As the audience cheered in support of Siwa, who was dressed in a bedazzled bra top and cargo trousers, the Dance Moms star said, “Thank you for coming, I appreciate it, but we only got room for infinity hearts in here, right?” turning to the adoring crowd. “Not in my house, baby,” she then added.

After engaging with another fan on the other side of the venue, Siwa launched into her song “Balance Baby.”

Another video shows Siwa holding the offending hoodie onstage. It looks like there’s a crude drawing of Siwa taped onto it. She then asks security to “get him out of here.”

In the comments people enquired what was on the hoodie that caused Siwa to eject the person. Debsmc88, who was standing a couple of rows behind the individual with the hoodie, said, “Looked like a egg wearing a bow but tbh I really don’t understand.”

Someone else then clarified, “It’s the meme that went round years ago which was slating her hair line, which she’s openly said she’s been [very] affected by it.” In response to other people also asking about the hoodie other TikTok users shared the actual meme. It does show an egg with Siwa’s face photoshopped onto it and her Dance Moms-era ponytail.

Siwa has spoken about her hairline in the past. In 2022, she posted a TikTok explaining her bald spot had been caused by “a stress rash” on Dance Moms. She felt the need to clear this tip after people suspected it was due to her tight, high ponytails.

In July, Siwa posted a TikTok of her and her partner, former Love Island star Chris Hughes. Siwa cried after Hughes complimented her hairline, demonstrating how sensitive a topic it is. “That’s the number one thing I was bullied for as a kid,” Siwa told Hughes.

Siwa and Hughes have “officially” been together since June. However, their relationship started to blossom when the pair met in April on Celebrity Big Brother. In the wake of the relationship Siwa has had to clarify her sexuality. It has also been suggested the pair could tie the knot by the end of the year.
