Gay ice hockey television series Heated Rivalry has teased its upcoming trailer with a topless snap of star Connor Storie in a locker room, and is it hot in here?

We know, it’s all a bit much, but we must persevere.

Based on the beloved novels of the same name from author Rachel Reid, the television adaptation of Heated Rivalry is set the on-and-off court relationship between a pair of professional Major League Hockey players – Montreal Meteors star Shane Hollander (Hudson Williams) and Ilya Rozanov (Connor Storie) of the Boston Raiders.

On the ice, the pair are sworn rivals, but off of it, they must navigate a forbidden love while grappling in a very different way.

After the first two official images of the series dropped in late September, showing the pair in a press conference and then in a more clandestine and romantic embrace, fans have been clamouring for a trailer.

And while we don’t have that quite yet, network Crave has tided us over with another picture of Storie – this time, really topless and really buff.

The snap has turned up the heat from previous glances, with Hudson’s head at Ilya’s waist-height *cough*.

But that’s not all – the trailer for Heated Rivalry has been teased with a file icon on the image titled “CONFIDENTIAL Heated_Rivalry_trailer”, indicating that we’ll be getting it soon.

The cast of Heated Rivalry includes François Arnaud, Robbie GK, Sophie Nélisse, Ksenia Daniela Kharlamova, Dylan Walsh and Christina Chang. Its official synopsis reads: “Two rival hockey stars at the top of their game face an unexpected challenge when they develop feelings for each other, complicating their careers.”
