Big Brother‘s Caroline has received a formal warning from Big Brother after misgendering trans housemate Zelah and mocking pansexual housemate Nancy’s sexuality.

In tonight’s (7 October) episode of the ITV show, the assembled housemates played a game of spin the bottle.

“Zelah, can I ask a question?” Caroline asked trans PT (and many viewer’s favourite Housemate) Zelah during the game.

“If you had a c**k, what would you do with it?” the 55-year-old continued, to gasps from the assembled housemates.

“Helicopter,” Zelah jokingly replied, while Feyisola shook her head.

Caroline then asked pansexual housemate Nancy: “If you could shag anyone in this house [who would it be?]”

“It has to be a guy?” Nancy asked, before Jenny added: “She’s pansexual.”

“Is she pansexual? You like pans?” Caroline replied.

Nancy then chose Zelah as an answer to Caroline’s original question, to which Caroline shouted: “She’s a girl! Oh no, you’re not. Well, you haven’t got a willy, have you.”

Caroline then said: “I’m so sorry, Z, is that bad? Oh I’m dead now. I know you’re a man, a big man.”

Zelah then exited the room.

Later, Caroline was called to the Diary Room and issued a formal warning for her behaviour.

Repeating Caroline’s words to her, Big Brother said: “Caroline, can you look at Big Brother?”

“No, I’m ashamed,” she replied, holding her face in her hands. “It’s worse than I thought.”

“Caroline, Big Brother thinks that your language in these instances was offensive and unacceptable, and cannot permit you to use language in a way that could cause offence to your fellow housemates and the viewing public.

“As a result, Big Brother is issuing you with a formal warning. Caroline, any repeated use of this type of language or behaviour could lead to your removal from the Big Brother House.”

Caroline then replied: “Sorry. It was a horrible thing I said, horrible. I don’t know where it came from, I can’t excuse myself. If I had an excuse I’d use it, but I haven’t got one. I’m sorry to anyone out there, and I’m sorry to everyone in here.

“I could see the disappointment in everyone’s eyes. I was having such a lovely time, more than lovely, and I’ve just gone and ruined everything. I can’t see a way back.”

Fellow housemate George was also recently given a warning from Big Brother after an ‘unacceptable’ impression of queer Housemate Sam.

George has since clashed with other housemates over the issues of homelessness and drug use.

Big Brother continues Sunday to Friday at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
