Big Brother housemate George has been removed from the house with immediate effect due to “unacceptable language and behaviour”.
In a statement, a Big Brother spokesperson confirmed that the parish councillor will no longer be part of the ITV reality show.
“Following repeated use of unacceptable language and behaviour, George has been removed from the Big Brother House with immediate effect and will no longer participate in the programme,” the statement reads.
The 23-year-old, who had proved divisive for his opinions on so-called transgender “ideology”, homelessness and addiction, received a formal warning from Big Brother earlier this week over his treatment of queer housemate Sam.
During a game of spin the bottle, George was asked to name the thing he most dislikes about each housemate, and proceeded to mock Sam’s voice and physicalites using a limp wrist.
He was reprimanded for his actions and apologised to Sam, but seemingly insincerely: he later nominated Sam for eviction over the incident.
George was reportedly issued several other warnings regarding unacceptable language that were not aired as the language in question was contrary to British broadcasting standards.
The comments that led to George’s removal from the Big Brother house will not be aired, as they too go against broadcasting standards.
However, George will still appear in tonight’s (8 October) episode of the series.
George was the most-nominated housemate in this week’s nominations, and was therefore up for eviction on Friday’s (10 October) episode.
Big Brother has confirmed that the eviction will go ahead as planned on Friday, with housemates Richard, Elsa, and Cameron B to face the public vote.
George’s removal is the second incident in 24 hours to cause outrage in the Big Brother house, following PR worker Caroline’s misgendering of trans housemate and bookies’ favourite, Zelah.

During another game of spin the bottle in yesterday’s episode (7 October), Caroline was heard referring to Zelah with “she” pronouns, and dubbing the personal trainer a “girl” because he “doesn’t have a willy”. Caroline was given a formal warning due to her language.
After initial upset from Zelah and condemnation towards Caroline from her fellow housemates, the pair spoke for the first time in scenes set to air in tonight’s episode (8 October).
Big Brother continues Sunday to Friday at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
