Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards has clarified comments she made earlier this month, explaining that she isn’t sure why she said that she could “go Brad” or “go Angelina” when it comes to her dating life, as she doesn’t like labels.

Speculation has been rife about the RHOBH star’s love life since her separation from husband-of-27-years Mauricio Umansky. The rumours include that she’s in a relationship with singer Morgan Wade, title-tattle she’s addressed on a couple of occasions.

The new trailer for season 15 of the reality show opens with Bozoma Saint John telling Richards: “I’m a girls’ girl but in order to be friends, I want to know the information so I can also be helpful.”

Richards replies: “Well, why don’t you ask what you really want to ask?” adding, “I could go Brad, I could go Angelina.” She has since told Variety‘s Kate Aurthur and Tiana DeNicola that she wasn’t sure why she said it.

“I don’t like labels,” she said. “Honestly, this is where it stemmed from. I know people the girls are clearly hinting for that heavily and I was like, just come out and say it.

“They were like: ‘No, we were just…’ they all laughed, I laughed. Then when I saw it, I said, ‘Why did I even say that?’”

Richards, who revealed her feelings for Pitt’s ex Jennifer Aniston last year, continued: “I love Jennifer. I don’t even mean it like that, she’s beautiful but I’m her biggest fan. I was like, ‘Why did I say that?’ I said it to make them laugh. People can think whatever they want.”

She added that she was “growing and evolving” and in doing so her “mind has opened up”. She’s not looking to be “set up with anybody” but is open to “see what life brings”.

“That’s totally an option”

After saying that, the interviewers responded: “you’re talking to two lesbians, so…”

In response, Richards said: “Ha! That would never have crossed my mind before, ever in my life, and now I’m like, that’s totally an option. I’m just here to see what life brings me, honestly. I don’t want to be set up with anybody. Whatever happens, happens, and I’m good with that. I like hanging out with myself alone too.”
