We here at PinkNews love a festive treat, so we’ve come up with some ideas for Christmas gifts for your LGBTQ+ friends, family and allies.

It’s always great to support businesses and independent sellers who recognise the importance of the LGBTQ+ community and are inclusive in their products and services.

Here are 10 suggestions.

Cleo&Hooman

Your pet deserves to be pampered. That is at the heart of Cleo&Hooman’s modern pet-care products. The business was founded by Louie Marte and Michael McLafferty, who were looking for a solution to their pets’ specific needs.

Marte’s Frenchie had sensitive skin while the active lives of McLafferty’s pups meant they needed long-lasting products. This led to the creation of a place to find all the grooming essentials you need for your fur baby.

From Bark Butter to soothe irritated skin to Scrub-a-Pup-Pup paw cleaner, Cleo&Hooman have thought of it all when it comes to pet care. The products are free-from harsh chemicals and are allergy-friendly. Last year, Cleo&Hooman joined with GLAAD for the Protect Our Pride nationwide initiative. Writing about the partnership, Marte and McLafferty said: “As an LGBTQ-owned company, giving back to our community is paramount.”

Ram called Prince Wolliam
Don’t pull the wool over their eyes: tell all your friends that you sponsor Prince Wolliam. (Rainbow Wool)

Sponsor a gay ram

Name a more unusual Christmas gift than sponsoring a gay sheep. We bet you can’t.

Rainbow Wool farm in Germany is home to a flock of gay rams who have been saved from the slaughterhouse. They are cared for by Michael and his partner Jochen, who use the wool to make products – most recently, Grindr’s first fashion collection. All profits go directly to queer organisation LSVD+ to support the community in parts of the world where it’s illegal and dangerous to be LGBTQ+.

The shop is regularly sold out, so why not sponsor one of the gay rams? Each is named, photographed and has a personality biography, so you can get to know them: from the glamorous Jean Woll Gaultier to the snooty Prince Wolliam and the mischievous Wolli Wonka.

Now, TomboyX is a fantastic destination for LGBTQ+ individuals looking for undies. They stock gender-affirming products, from compression tops to tucking bikinis, as well as inclusive swimwear.

The company has compiled a holiday gift guide to help you find the perfect gift.
