Tom Read Wilson has piqued fans’ interest after his entrance into the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! camp, with particular attention being paid to his current relationship status.
The Celebs Go Dating star, 39, entered the show last Thursday (20 November) alongside Vogue Williams and has since made a memorable impression on his fellow celebs as well as viewers.
After Monday’s episode, in which Wilson displayed his talent for copying voices, he had fans wondering what his “real” voice was – the fancy-sounding voice he’s known for or a gruff northern accent.
In the same episode, Wilson discussed his relationship status. Asked if because he was involved in a dating show people were intrusive of his personal life he said: “There’s not very much [to find out about].”
Wilson also said: “I can find them but I can’t keep them,” adding that he thinks he’s “such a curiosity” to people. So, it would appear Wilson is currently single.
Previously Wilson, who is gay, said he loves “meeting people” and is also “very happy” in his own company.
Speaking to PinkNews in 2018 the Celebs Got Dating receptionist described himself as “a serial dater”. And in terms of his ideal man he said he’s looking for someone who is “radically different” to him “on every possible level”.
He also said: “I always say I don’t physically have a type except radically different to me because I always think two-thirds of beauty lies in fascination.
“I think there’s something beautiful in that post-coital moment where you look at someone and think ‘How are you put together? I could spend the rest of my life mapping your face because it’s so different to my own.’”
