Gogglebox stars had a predictably thirsty response to Jonathan Bailey’s recent CBeebies Bedtime Story.

On 21 November, Bailey joined CBeebies Bedtime Story to read the Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s classic “Room on the Broom”.

The actor, who portrayed paleontologist Dr Henry Loomis in Jurassic World: Rebirth, was crowned the sexiest man alive in 2025 by People magazine, a recognition that appears justified given the response from the Gogglebox cast.

Towards the end of season 26, episode 13, the cast were shown a clip of “the world’s sexiest man putting us to sleep”.  “I’m all giddy,” Ellie said to her sister Izzi.

“Oh, hello, Jonathan,” Sue exclaimed to her husband Steve after Bailey introduced himself.

Andrew remarked: “I know who you are,” to his partner Alfie, who responded: “Oh, calm down.”

“I’m not calming down it’s bedtime,” Andrew said to a grinning Alfie.

Julie then informed her partner Tom of Bailey’s status as the sexiest man in 2025.

‘Doing it for the mums…’

“Oh, he’s doing this for the mums ain’t he,” Sophie observed of Bailey’s sultry tone, which was noted by sisters Rosie and Susie, who agreed he has a “lovely voice”.

Meanwhile, Susie suggested Jonathan would be perfect for a very specific line of telephone work.

“I think you’re magical, Jonathan,” Andrew said in response to Bailey asking: “If I was magical, do you know what I’d do right now?”

“You know if I was magical you would’t f****** be sat in there,” Lee said as his friend Jenny laughed. “You wouldn’t be telling bedtime stories,” she joked.

The highest-grossing box office star of 2025, who plays Prince Fiyero in anticipated Wicked: For Good, added, “I’d conjure up a cute, cuddly little friend to sit here with me while I read you a bedtime story”.  He then conjures a toy cat to his side, adding, “maybe I am magic after all”.

Ellie then directs her sister to “look at Jonathan’s bulge”, to which she responds: “Bloody hell”. “I love a jeans bulge,” Ellie shares.

“There’s room on my broom”

“There’s room on my broom,” Andrew says in response to Bailey stating the name of the book read.

Even Mary confessed Bailey’s appeal, sharing that she was “dreading” the segment ending, while a section that made reference to a “dripping wet wand” let viewers’ minds wander even further.

The clip definitely left the viewers feeling ready for bedtime, but not quite in the way it was meant to.
