There’s little doubt that the internet is in love with Heated Rivalry, as well as its leading men, Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie.
Williams and Storrie star as Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov respectively in the show about two rival hockey players secretly engaged in an illicit romance. The series is based on Rachel Reid’s Game Changer novels.
Debuting in the US and Canada on 28 November, in just a matter of days the show has come to dominate queer social media discourse for the stars’ chemistry as well as the series’ steamy sex scenes.
Sadly, the series is not yet available to watch in the UK, though that hasn’t stopped people from wanting to see the series but also know more about its two stars, including Williams.

The actor plays Shane Hollander in the series. In the books the character is Japanese-Canadian, though in the series he is simply Asian-Canadian.
Hollander is an ice hockey player from Ottawa, Ontario. He is the captain of the Montreal Metros, who often play against the Boston Raiders, captained by Russian player Ilya Rozanov (Connor Storrie).
The trailers for Heated Rivalry show Hollander as being discrete about his sexuality, fearing being found out or outed. And while he enjoys a passionate romance with Rozanov, Hollander engages in a relationship with the actress, Rose Landry (Sophie Nélisse).
