By now we imagine everyone is aware of the meme of Wicked: For Good‘s Michelle Yeoh doing the “flip it around bit”, and Google has joined in on the fun.

The meme started on the Wicked: For Good press tour when Michelle Yeoh was talking about her character in the Wicked films, Madame Morrible, and how she is actually the true ‘Wicked Witch’, not Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo).

In numerous interviews Yeoh has repeated: “Madame Morrible – M, M, flip it around, Wicked Witch!”

Michelle Yeoh has an intriguing theory about an iconic Wicked character. #TheGrahamNortonShow #GrahamNorton #MichelleYeoh #Wicked #WickedFilm On Graham’s sofa: Hollywood star Glen Powell in dystopian action thriller The Running Man; Oscar winner Michelle Yeoh, playing Madame Morrible in Wicked: For Good; Emmy-winning Brit Rosamund Pike, in crime caper sequel Now You See Me: Now You Don’t; top comic Jack Whitehall, starring in tense thriller series Malice; and music superstar Ed Sheeran, chatting and performing Camera from his album Play.

And that, like many things before it in the social media age, has taken on a life of its own, becoming a viral trend on platforms such as TikTok.

And it appears that the team at Google have wanted a piece of the action too and have set up a fun Easter egg for Wicked fans.

If you Google ‘Madame Morrible’ the browser takes you to a page of results about the character. But at the top, where it would usually provide a suggestion if you’ve spelt something wrong in your search terms, the web page reads: “Flip it around… Did you mean: wicked witch.”

Users can click on ‘Wicked Witch’ where they are taken to a new page all about The Wicked Witch of the West.

It’s a fun tie-in to Wicked: For Good as well as meme culture.

Premiering at the end of November, the film has made approximately $444,234,190 (£332,167,231) as reported by Box Office Mojo.
