Billie Eilish is facing backlash for a series of AI images. The singer took to her socials to repost an array of AI generated pictures that depicted her as a man. The images showed Billie in an array of different outfits and settings. While some users loved the pictures, saying they thought this male version of Billie was good looking, others weren’t so impressed, calling the singer out promoting AI generated images. One user wrote ‘Billie “hates ai” yet she shares ai pics to her stories that are watched by millions.’ Another said ‘low key super surprised that billie shared something that is ai it seems not like her.’ These users are seemingly referencing Billie’s previous criticism of AI. In 2024, Billie and 200 other music industry giants signed an open letter calling for the use of artificial intelligence in the music industry to be stopped. The letter read; ‘when used irresponsibly, AI poses enormous threats to our ability to protect our privacy, our identities, our music and our livelihoods.’ Going on to say; ‘For many working musicians, artists and songwriters who are just trying to make ends meet, this would be catastrophic.’ Billie has even called out AI generated images of herself before. At the 2025 Met Gala, a series of images began circulating of Billie attending the event, and users began criticizing her outfit. But the pictures weren’t actually real. “Seeing people talk about what I wore to this year’s Met Gala, being trash. I wasn’t there. That’s AI. I had a show in Europe, that night. Let me be, I wasn’t even there.” #billieeilish #ai #artificialintelligence #metgala #lgbtqia
