Broadway star, Cheyenne Jackson, has shared a throwback picture of himself looking gorgeously blonde and like he’s having a lot of fun.

The 50-year-old actor, currently starring in Oh, Mary!, shared the nostalgic picture on Instagram over the weekend.

It sees a younger Jackson (we’re guessing from the nineties) looking almost unrecognisable as he sports blonde hair.

“Does this SUN-IN make me look gay? …or gayer?,” he then asked in the caption.

Sun-In is a brand of products that aims to provide people with natural look highlights. After becoming popular in the 1970s it was commonly used in the nineties.

People have reported achieving mixed results with the products over the years. Commenting on Jackson’s post one person said: “Oh, you did a good job there! Mine turned me into an [orange emoji].”

Another follower wrote: “For us SUN-IN survivors!” And someone else put: “What a 90’s sweetie.”

It’s not the first time lately Jackson has discussed looking or sounding gay. In a video posted in November, the Glee star said he was “done” with his internalised homophobia over his so-called “gay voice”.

Sharing his take on the phenomenon known as ‘gay voice’ the actor recalled watching an old interview of his where he had a noticeably deeper and more ‘masculine’ tone than his usual one.

“I was like, ‘Who the f*** is that?’ ‘Cause that ain’t me,” Jackson said after questioning: “What’s wrong with sounding gay?”

The American Horror Story star also said: “It used to make me feel really good,” when people told him they didn’t know he was gay. He then said feeling successful for “passing” as straight was “f***** up.”
