Miley Cyrus is ‘so in’ to do music on Heated Rivalry Season 2: ‘Get me booked’

Miley Cyrus is hopping on the Heated Rivalry bandwagon with her declaration that she’s “so in” to contribute music for season two. However, one of the Heated Rivalry cast isn’t too sure.
The 33-year-old pop star was in attendance at the Palm Springs International Film Festival gala on Saturday (3 January). There, she told Variety that she was very keen to get involved with the show.
Last week, Cyrus liked a Heated Rivalry post, prompting her fans to theorise something was happening. Jacob Tierney‘s Crave show follows rival hockey stars Shane (Hudson Williams) and Ilya (Connor Storrie), two men who fall for each other despite their apparent differences.
However, the “Flowers” hitmaker told Variety that she has yet to watch Heated Rivalry. But at the suggestion of contributing music to the show, she said: “Oh, I’m so in. Book me. Get me booked!”
She also continued: “I have not watched yet, but this is on my to-do list now. It’s all I’ve heard about, every conversation I’ve had today has started with you, ‘You have to [watch it].’”
In the replies, fans were overjoyed at her enthusiasm
“Yes, can Miley do the entire soundtrack? That would be great!” one reply reads.
Another shared: “We are soooooooo down too.”
“Season 2 just got next level Miley on the soundtrack? Instant hit,” another reply declared.
Heated Rivalry star reacts to Miley Cyrus
At the 2026 Critics’ Choice Awards on Sunday (4 January), one of the stars of Heated Rivalry responded to Cyrus’ offer of music.
Speaking to Variety, François Arnaud, who plays hockey player Scott Hunter (the star of episode 3), shared his take on Cyrus’ involvement in Heated Rivalry.
“Miley said she wants to do a song,” the interviewer told him, only to be met with mild confusion from Arnaud.
“She hasn’t even watched the show,” the bisexual actor replied. “She should watch the show first.”
Then, looking straight down the camera lens, Arnaud continued: “Miley. Watch the d*** show.
“Also, I think we might get a little bit bigger budget for Season 2, but I don’t know if we get Miley budget.”
But then he added: “I think if she sees the show, she might give us a discount.”
Heated Rivalry is streaming now on Crave in Canada and HBO in the US. The show has a UK release on Sky and streaming service NOW from 10 January.
