2026 is getting off to a good start as the sapphic murder mystery series, The Hunting Wives, is finally available in the UK.
The series, starring Brittany Snow and Malin Akerman, follows a group of gun-toting, MAGA coded women in a fictional Texas town who also happen to be pretty sexually liberal.
Snow plays Sophie O’Neil, who moves from Boston to Maple Brook after her husband, Graham (Evan Jonigkeit) gets a job there, in the mystery drama adapted from best-selling author May Cobb’s novel.

Sophie then meets socialite Margo Banks (Akerman) and becomes “consumed by obsession, seduction and murder”.
Season one caused more than a splash last year when it arrived on Netflix in the US, generating criticism for being too “outrageous” and raunchy.
Despite appearing in the US last July, The Hunting Wives was produced by Starz and then acquired by Netflix. Sadly, it hasn’t been available anywhere else. Until now…
The series is now available to stream – for free – in the UK on ITVX. All eight episodes are available to watch right now. Viewers can either watch for free with ads or pay £5.99 a month for ITVX Premium.
Last September, it was confirmed that The Hunting Wives had been renewed for a second season. Talking to Entertainment Tonight about season two, Akerman said it was “like going back to summer camp”.

And in December, Netflix confirmed season two was in production.
As well as confirming the return of Snow, Akerman, Jonigkeit, Dermot Mulroney, Jaime Ray Newman, and George Ferrier, the streamer also announced newcomers to the cast.
John Stamos, Dale Dickey, Cam Gigandet, Kim Matula, and Alex Fitzalan will join The Hunting Wives‘ cast.
“Only time will tell what kind of trouble these Maple Brook newcomers will cause,” Netflix has teased.
The tagline for season two reads: “Sophie and Margo are on the outs. But soon enough, old secrets and new foes force them back together. As they play their dangerous games, the question arises: Are they the hunters or the hunted?”
