The Hunting Wives‘ Brittany Snow has teased season two of the hit sapphic series includes a “wild” death and “more steamy” action.
The Pitch Perfect star plays Sophie O’Neil, who moves from Boston to the fictional town of Maple Brook, Texas after her husband, Graham (Evan Jonigkeit) gets a job there.
Based on May Cobb’s novel of the same name, the series also stars Malin Åkerman as Margot, the leader of a group of gun-toting, MAGA-coded but sexually liberal women. Dermot Mulroney, Jaime Ray Newman, and George Ferrier also appear.

Season one caused a splash last year when it arrived on Netflix in the US, generating criticism for being too “outrageous” and raunchy. Season two was confirmed last September.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight at the Golden Globes on Sunday (11 January) Snow teased that season two was going to be “wild”.
With production underway, Snow said: “Every script is a new adventure. They said that we couldn’t top last year and somehow I think we are doing it.
“I’m surprised. And I even knew what was coming, a little bit. So, I think people are going to be very shocked, I think people are going to be angry. I think people are going to be surprised and excited.”

She then added: “I don’t know if that’s a good or bad thing to say, but definitely people should watch.” Snow continued: “Someone dies. I won’t tell you who. That is a wild play. Wild behaviour.”
Speaking to Live from E! on Sunday, Snow added season two would be “more steamy” than the first, which includes a number of lesbian sex scenes.
“We’ve filmed some scenes, we played some Reneé Rapp. We got into a groove,” she explained referencing the queer icon. “A lot of things happen this season that are very shocking.”

Echoing her earlier comments she also said: “It’s gonna leave people very angry, but in a sexy way.”
In December, Netflix confirmed season two was in production. John Stamos, Dale Dickey, Cam Gigandet, Kim Matula, and Alex Fitzalan have now joined The Hunting Wives‘ cast.
The tagline for season two reads: “Sophie and Margo are on the outs. But soon enough, old secrets and new foes force them back together. As they play their dangerous games, the question arises: Are they the hunters or the hunted?”
The Hunting Wives season one is available to stream in the UK on ITVX.
