Wicked duo Jonathan Bailey and Ariana Grande are set to reunite for a huge project together in 2027.

In the beloved two-part movie, Bailey plays Prince Fiyero, while Grande stars as Glinda the Good Witch, but the pair are to begin work together again on a very different project in the future.

As was teased back in December, Bailey and Grande are set to reunite in a revival of Stephen Sounheim and James Lapine’s Sunday in the Park With George in London. The musical is based on George Seurat’s famed painting ‘A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte’.

The musical revolves around George, a fictionalised version of Seurat, who immerses himself in his masterpiece. It’s also centred on his lover Dot, while Act II features his great-grandson, a contemporary performance artist also named George, who is facing his own challenges.

The actors teased the stage show in a photo posted on social media on 14 January, which features them sitting in front of the painting. “All it has to be is good,” Bailey wrote in the photo’s caption, which is a reference the show’s song, “Sunday in the Park with George”.

The Pulitzer Prize-winning musical will reportedly be directed by multiple Tony Award and Oliver Award recipient Marianne Elliott. It is set to open in summer 2027 at London’s Barbican Theatre.
