Drag Race star Marina Summers has come out as trans.

She announced the news in a touching Instagram post on 7 February, sharing that she began socially transitioning in early 2025 and started hormone replacement therapy later in the year.

“I would say it’s one of the best things that has ever happened to me,” she wrote.

The star shared that she has always felt feminine, but had “poured that energy” into living her life at full speed. “Becoming the person I’ve always seen myself as felt like something I’d get to ‘later’, something I gently pushed to the side while I tried to catch every other dream first,” she said.

“But last year, I finally gave myself permission to stop pausing. And start my transition.”

She said that she chose to keep her transition news to her “innermost circle” as she needed “space to feel it, to heal, to simply exist in [her] own skin without the outside noise”.

She continued: “Now, I’m ready to open the door a little wider and let you all into my journey… From hereon, I’d love for you all to get to know me more as the woman I’m becoming. Hello again my friends, it’s me, Marina.”

Marina Summers first entered the Drag Race world on Drag Race Philippines, where she placed as runner-up.
