Billy Porter has decided to livestream his life for 28 days and made a promise to show it all “without filters or edits” – well, almost.

After a “serious case of sepsis” in September last year, Porter has now vowed to share “the truth” about himself with fans.

“There isn’t just one Billy. There’s the performer. The artist. The brother,” he captioned a clip to promote his new livestream on Thursday (26 February).

The clip shows Porter sitting on the sofa as he sets up his camera and says: “Hello.”

His caption added that fans will get to see him “at home on a Sunday when nobody’s watching”.

“For 28 days — you’ll meet all of them,” he shared, adding: “I’m launching a totally different show on a totally new platform – FullAccess.live – where, soon, you’ll be able to spend 28 days inside the real life of any human on this planet.”

‘My life, live, constantly without filters…’

Porter made clear that the stream would be like “spying, but legal”, and that he would be sure to cut out the parts that could get weird.

He wrote: “You won’t see me sleeping. You won’t see me f******. For those moments the camera will still be live constantly but I’ll leave it running outside the bedroom. My life, live, constantly without filters or edits or lighting or perfection for 28 days. Limited to the first 1,000 viewers.”

Porter’s livestream begins on the morning of Friday, 27 February.

The FullAccess.live website notes that it’s “the only platform in the world where you can be part of someone else’s world for 28 days”.

“Soon, you’ll be able to experience it all. 28 days in the life of real people, all over the world,” the website adds.

However, the concept in general is not new. One man, Michael Gerry, livestreamed his life for an entire year back in 2019, and even kept cameras rolling for his private, ahem, personal moments in the bathroom.
