Meet trans Bridgerton actress Miya Ocego, who says she brought the “T to the ton” in season four of the hit Netflix show.

Based on Julia Quinn’s romance novels, Bridgerton premiered the first part of its fourth season on 29 January, while the second half of the series released today (26 February).

Actress and model Ocego, who has had previous roles in BBC Three series Wreck, Waterloo Road and Baby Reindeer, stars in the latest season as a character named Miss Power. 

Miss Power is a debutante who attends the Bridgerton masquerade ball when Benedict Bridgerton approaches her and Miss Alvarez (Alejandra Deane).

Ocego is credited with appearing in a handful of episodes of the regency-era series.

Taking to Instagram, Ocego, who has just over 4,000 followers, shared behind the scenes shots of her elaborate costume for the show. 

She captioned the photo dump: “#bridgerton season 4 is out now worldwide, had fun bringing the T to the ton xxx.” 

Oner person described her as an “icon”, while another comment with 150 likes renamed her character “Miss POWERFUL”. 

In a later post promoting the latest part of the season, Ocego shared more candid shots, including additional views of her regal ball gown with wings.

Season four of Bridgerton focuses on the Cinderella-inspired love story of second eldest Bridgerton son and queer icon Benedict (Luke Thompson) and Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha). But queer fans can’t get enough of younger sibling Francesca (Hannah Dodd) – who recently tied the knot with Sir John Stirling (Victor Alli) – and her relationship with her husband’s cousin, Michaela (Masali Baduza).
