Hosting Saturday Night Live (SNL) is no small feat, and Heated Rivalry’s Connor Storrie proved he’s up to the challenge.
On Saturday (28 February), Storrie stepped out onto the famous SNL stage and delighted fans with his comedic flair. With his background in clowning, he didn’t disappoint in his commitment to the bit.
Here are the best moments of Storrie’s SNL episode:
The Stripper
In what was arguably the best sketch of the night, Storrie references one of his existing clown characters in The Stripper. He plays the titular man, with a Russian accent, who arrives at a bachelorette party after being hit by a car.
He drags himself across the floor and slowly discards clothes until he’s in a small pair of leopard print underwear. Writhing in pain and moving his limbs in unnatural ways, Storrie ends the sketch sprawled on the ground, butt in the air.

Celebrating the Women’s Ice Hockey Team
During his Cold Open, Storrie weighed in on the drama that has rocked the ice hockey world. Two members of both the men’s (Jack and Quinn Hughes) and women’s (Megan Keller and Hilary Knight) US Olympic hockey teams joined Storrie, wearing their gold medals.
The women’s cheer was especially loud. This comes after President Donald Trump invited the men’s team to the State of the Union. He then lamented he’d have to also invite the women’s team or be threatened with impeachment.
“It was going to be just us,” Knight said, refreshing the viral phone call. “But we thought we’d invite the guys, too.”
Hudson Williams’ Cameo
Fans were hoping Storrie’s Heated Rivalry co-star Hudson Wiliams would make a cameo. And, of course, he made an appearance in an ice skating sketch.
As a couple’s public proposal spirals out of control, Storrie, Mikey Day, and Ben Marshall whiz by on ice skates behind them.
Then, a latecomer called Hudson comes zipping into frame and into Storrie’s arms. It’s a nod to the actor’s beloved friendship, which set off the studio audience into applause.
The sketch also served as a hilarious reminder that Storrie and Hudson are still a bit wobbly on the ice.
The cut for time Car Song
As is the crew with live TV, not everything can be squeezed into the show. However, it is a shame that the Car Song sketch didn’t make the cut.
In the sketch, Storrie shows his potential for playing a villain. Meanwhile, Veronika Slowikowska and Jane Wickline sing about car doorhandles becoming more complicated.
Playing a demonic CEO, Storrie monologues over a dance beat. In what is becoming a signature move, the sketch ends with Storrie’s clothes being ripped off by a door handle, leaving him yelling in the nude.
