Andy Jurgensen has gone viral after a sweet moment with his partner at the Oscars.

The American film editor, known for his collaborations with director Paul Thomas Anderson, took home the Academy Award for Best Film Editing on Sunday night (15 March) for One Battle After Another, and also became the star of a viral moment for kissing his partner before his acceptance speech.

As Jurgensen was announced as the winner, he stood up and shared a hug and kiss with his partner before taking the stage.

During his acceptance speech, Jurgensen made a point of giving thanks to his partner, saying: “To my partner, Bill, who brings so much joy to my life every day.”

Jurgensen’s previous editing credits include Licorice Pizza. He was also included in the editorial department of Inherent Vice and Phantom Thread.
