Avengers star Aaron Taylor-Johnson looks completely unrecognisable in new pics

Aaron Taylor-Johnson, best known for his roles as the title character in Kick-Ass (2010) and Pietro Maximoff/Quicksilver in Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015) has stunned fans by debuting a bold new look at the photocall for new Sky Original movie Fuze.

Fans were startled by his new, clean-shaven look, and tousled brown curls, paired with an understated dark brown shirt and slacks combo.

Many of them took to social media to comment on his altered appearance, and many of them were less than complementary.

One person said: “He looks like he’s wearing someone else’s face.”

“He looks different… He’s unrecognisable. Is that surgery?!” another added.

Others compared his appearance to that of other celebrities, with one online commenter quipping: “If Timothee Chalamet and Jeremy Allen White had love child that was born old.”

Another person added: “What in the hell happened? Genuinely, not trying to be mean…. This just doesn’t look like him, at all! Something is different.”

Several other commenters referenced the fact that Taylor-Johnson is married to a woman 24 years older than him; the couple reportedly met when he was 18 and Sam was 42 while working on the 2009 film Nowhere Boy. One person wrote, unkindly: “He’s married to an old [woman] who drained him of his natural beauty.”

Taylor-Johnson isn’t the only celeb to cause a stir for changing his appearance recently. The Last of Us star Pedro Pascal rocked up to the red carpet at this year’s Oscars on 15 March looking not quite like his usual self.

His striking new look swiftly became the talk of the evening on social media, with some remarking how different he looks without his signature moustache.

An abundance of social media users remarked on Best Actor nominee Leonardo DiCaprio debuting a new moustache at the ceremony, with most joking that Pascal had given his away to the One Battle After Another star.

“Breaking: Leonardo DiCaprio has stolen Pedro Pascal’s mustache,” one X user quipped.
