British comedian Gina Yashere has married her long-time partner Nina Rose Fischer in a gorgeous ceremony in Costa Rica.
Yashere, who recently reacted to the cancellation of Star Trek: Starfleet Academy, in which she stars, shared some stunning photos from their special day on Instagram.
The actress could be seen in a custom green linen trouser suit, while her partner wore a strapless gold gown and a tiara.
Despite the grand wedding dress, Yashere explained in the caption that they’d wanted to keep things “super casual” with “no shoes allowed”. She said: “Sneaks and flip flops only.”
The 52-year-old added in the caption: “45 of my friends and family flew in from London alone! Plus another 20 of our friends from the US.
“It was like a scene from Jaws. We gonna need a bigger boat!”
They had their wedding at a restaurant by the beach, before an after party at the house where they were staying.
She added: “We’ve never felt so loved and blessed. Wonderful day. We couldn’t be happier.”
It’s also a big week for Yashere outside of her love life too, as she celebrated her birthday on 6 April.
She ended the caption with: “Oh, and happy birthday to me.”
Star Wars: Starfleet Academy co-star Karim Diané left a string of heart-eye emojis in the comments, while comedian Alan Carr gave the couple a round of applause with clapping emojis.
