Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter tour stage design ‘foreshadows’ Act III theme – and ‘confirms’ third tour

Beyoncé has kicked off the Cowboy Carter tour, but fans have already spotted two possible references to her upcoming ‘Act III’ project – its theme and potential tour.
Everyone remembers where they were when Beyoncé, borderline deity, Virgo-in-chief, musical legend and client of Blue Ivy Carter, dropped Renaissance in 2022.
The dance/ house music bible and its accompanying tour was praised universally (naturally) – and fans gagged even more severely when Beyoncé confirmed that the project was just the first of a three act project that same month.
Cowboy Carter – Act II – was announced two years after Renaissance, and saw Ms. Carter go Country, with features from genre legends Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson and more.
The musical icon has today (28 April) hit the road with her first live show for The Cowboy Carter Tour – and eagle-eyed fans are convinced they’ve figured out the genre of Act III with a little help from the stage design.
Walk with us on this one; X users and Beyhive members alike have theorised that the shape of the Renaissance World Tour stage resembled a banjo, therefore hinting at Act II’s Country theme.
This time, the stage is shaped like an electric guitar, giving fuel to the fire that Act III could see Beyoncé go Rock and Roll, baby.

When you take the side catwalks away it turns into a rock style electric guitar making it more likely that act 3 is rock. Oh Beyoncé your mind pic.twitter.com/jJyMGI5PjR

“Cowboy Carter has an electric guitar shaped stage foreshadowing a Rock album for Act III,” another wrote alongside a comparison of the RWT and CCT stages. “Oh Beyoncé, your mind. i love you so much.”
“I think there’s a possibility at Act III dropping at the end of the tour, especially with the rock hints and now the stage being shaped like a guitar?!” another added.

A few other things; Beyoncé has repeatedly referenced Betty Davis, a Black rock singer famous for her sexually oriented lyrics and performance style.
Beyoncé posted a tribute to Davis in November last year, dressed as the legendary singer and captioned, “Betty Davis in my bones”. While also a reference to Cowboy Carter track “BODYGUARD,” fans saw the homage as yet another hint for what Act III could hold.
Beyonce has basically just confirmed that Act III will be a rock and funk album. Betty Davis isn't a coincidence. pic.twitter.com/LWkaCzrspj

So while Beyoncé herself has been characteristically cryptic on, well, anything apart from what she wants fans to see, the Beyhive are convinced they’ve got the code cracker.
But wait! That’s not all!
Photos of merchandise sold at the Cowboy Carter Tour have hit X timelines today, and fans thinks that Queen B has ‘confirmed’ a third tour for whatever Act III is.
On a shirt sold at the stadium reads, “Cowboy Carter Rodeo Chitlin’ Circuit Tour”, followed by the phrase “2/3” – as in this tour is ‘two out of three’.

And, with several fans live-tweeting the first section of the Cowboy Carter Tour, claiming that Beyoncé played “rock music over [a visual]” at showtime and included a “PSYCHEDELIC ROCK SECTION“, all things are pointed to Act III being Rock and Roll.
