What time does Eurovision 2025 air? BBC reveal details for semi-finals and grand final

It’s Eurovision time! The 2025 contest is right around the corner and we now know when to tune in for the two live semi-finals as well as the grand final.

Taking place in Basel, Switzerland, following Nemo’s win last year, 37 countries will start Eurovision week. Twenty-six, including the big five (UK, Spain, Germany, France and Italy) and current champions Switzerland will go through to the final.

The BBC has now announced that the first live semi-final, on Tuesday 13 May, will air from 8pm on BBC One and on iPlayer.

Fighting it out will be Iceland, Poland, Slovenia, Estonia, Ukraine, Sweden, Portugal, Norway, Belgium, Azerbaijan, San Marino, Albania, Netherlands, Croatia and Cyprus.

The second semi-final will take place on Thursday 15 May, again at 8pm on BBC One and iPlayer, and feature Australia, Montenegro, Ireland, Latvia, Armenia, Austria, Greece, Lithuania, Malta, Georgia, Denmark, the Czech Republic, Luxembourg, Israel, Serbia and Finland.

The grand final will air on Saturday 17 May, starting on BBC1 and iPlayer at 8pm, with Graham Norton taking the reins for the UK’s commentary.

Who is representing the UK?

Representing the UK at Eurovision this year is girlband Remember Monday. The trio were unveiled in March as was their song “What the Hell Just Happened?”

Lauren Byrne, Holly-Anne Hull and Charlotte Steele, self-professed “pop girlies with a little bit of yeehaw,” have been friends and have performed together since they met at sixth-form college in 2013.

The band name comes from the day they used to rehearse at the start of their careers. All former West End performers, the girls are known for their signature harmonies.
