People are split about Arnold Schwarzenegger’s comments about watching his son, Patrick, bare it all on The White Lotus.
Patrick, 31, starred as finance bro Saxon Ratliff in the third season of The White Lotus. His character was particularly memorable due to an incestuous storyline with younger brother Lochlan (Sam Nivola).
Recently, the actor sat down with his father as part of Variety’s Actors on Actors series, in which the pair discussed their screen careers as well as the accusations of nepotism levelled at Patrick.
But in a hilarious moment where the pair discussed Mike White’s series and Patrick’s role in it, Arnold shared some thoughts on his son’s choices.
“I’m watching your show, and I’m watching with your butt sticking out there,” said Arnold referencing his son’s nude scene in the first episode of season three.
A slight embarrassed Patrick laughed at this as his father continued. “And all of a sudden, I see the weenie, and I said to myself, ‘What is going on here? I mean, this is crazy!’”

But Arnold demonstrated that he is entirely self aware and added: “Then I said to myself, ‘Well, Arnold, hello! You did the same thing in Conan and in Terminator and all of those films. You were naked, so don’t complain about it.’”
But the older Schwarzenegger said it was a “shock” that his son had followed “that closely” in his footsteps.
Of course, this was then clipped and used to promo the interview. Patrick shared it on X/Twitter and wrote “Parents” with two face-planting emojis.
Arnold’s comments on his son’s nudity have also split people on the internet. One person saw the humour in it writing, “Arnold’s just being a dad—hilarious and awkward in the best way. “The weenie” comment got me.”

It’s not the first time Arnold has commented on his son’s performance and nudity in The White Lotus. In February, he wrote on Instagram: “What a show! I could claim to be surprised to find out he has a nude scene, but what can I say – the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.”
