Ground-breaking dating series I Kissed A Girl is coming back for season two, BBC has confirmed.
The BBC has announced that the hit queer dating show will return for season two, following season two of I Kissed A Boy being aired on 11 May on BBC Three and BBC iPlayer.
Host Dannii Minogue said of the show’s return: “I Kissed A Girl was full of heart and groundbreaking for female representation on TV. The fans loved the fun, the passion and the drama.
“I can’t wait for the return of the girls – let’s see what the heat of the Italian sun does for kisses and connections. It is sure to get sparks flying.

“I am ready to be cupid once again – get ready for the Masseria Mania!”
I Kissed A Girl is the first UK dating series for queer women and has so far paved the way for LGBTQ+ representation on mainstream TV.
The award-winning series, produced by Twofour, will return for another 10-part series where 10 singletons will be matched up and meet for the first time, with a kiss. Viewers will watch on as the girls follow their hearts in the hope of finding love.
Charley Marlowe will also return as the narrator. She previously told PinkNews that the second series will be filled with “so much kissing”.

“So much kissing,” is set to come Charley shared, before adding: “I didn’t realise how much of a prude I am. I was in the voiceover booth, and obviously I get drip fed the show, so… we’d watch 30 seconds prior to my line, and they’d be going at it. I’d be like: ‘F**king hell.’ Like, proper smooching.”
She then went on to praise the girls for being so open to kissing on telly. “Good for them – I can’t do it, I’m too much of a baby, I’m like, ‘Get away from me’.”
Speaking at a screening for the first episode of I Kissed A Boy season two in May, host and staunch LGBTQ+ ally Minogue revealed that the show’s second outing features some “drama-filled” scenes with its eleven-strong cast featuring a cheerleading coach, a model, and the show’s first ever transgender man.
Casting is now open for I Kissed A Girl season two. Applicants can apply via the BBC Take Part website or an online application form.
