Cyberpunk fans are preparing to delve into Night City yet again after a new co-op card game, Cyberpunk Legends: Into the Night, was announced.
Developers CD Projekt RED announced the new iteration in the dystopian-postmodern multimedia series in an X/Twitter post.
The co-operative, story-driven card game set in Mike Pondsmith’s Cyberpunk universe and created in collaboration with developers Virtuous and CD Projekt RED, will throw players into the “world of chrome, code and consequences.”
“Cyberpunk Legends: Into the Night is a co-op, story-driven card game you can learn in 5 minutes,” the official Cyberpunk 2077 X/Twitter page wrote. “No prep, no DM, just pure dystopian strategy.”
Set in the neon-lit streets of Cyberpunk’s signature Night City, players will work together to “survive running the edge” of the dystopian techno-hellscape, whilst meeting several iconic characters, including Johnny Silverhand and Alt Cunningham.
An official description of the card game promises an accessible, tabletop RPG (TTRPG) style experience, with “no lengthy rules, no pre-writing or character sheets,” and “no dice.”
The game’s base set box features over 300 unique cards and three scenario decks to create unique stories, encounters, and obstacles.

The announcement coincided with news of a surprise update for the 2020 first-person RPG, Cyberpunk 2077, despite CD Projekt RED saying in 2024 it had dropped support for future content updates in favour of creating the game’s sequel.
As part of the game’s relaunch for the newly released Nintendo Switch 2, developers announced the update, dubbed “version 2.3.”
Marcin Momot, CD Projekt RED’s global community director, told fans to hold tight for info on what the new update has to offer, saying the team would “start spilling the beans closer to the release of [version 2.3].”
Cyberpunk 2077 associate game director, Pawel Sasko, shared further details in an X/Twitter post, saying developers “have been cooking for you in secret for a bit.”
“As usual, I’m taking care of the update personally and we will commuicate more, when it’s ready,” he added.
The highly-anticipated game received a troubled launch in 2020 after a string of unfinished mechanics and bugs marred player experience. The title received over 63,000 negative reviews on PC marketplace Steam following its launch.
A series of updates have since improved the experience, with the title receiving a “very positive” overall rating on Steam at the time of reporting.
