Naomi Watts has continued to show her support for her children, this time joining her trans daughter Kai Shreiber for Balenciaga’s Paris Fashion Week show on Wednesday (9 July).

Emmanuelle star Watts was dressed head-to-toe in black, with her blonde hair slicked back. Kai had donned a black-and-white polka-dot dress.

“Today’s look was co-ordinated in colour palette but pretty different style-wise, Watts told Vogue. “I thought we balanced each other out in a fun way.”

Schreiber, who voiced one of the young wolves in 2016’s The Jungle Book, said: “When they brought out this dress, I was wowed. It’s major, I felt like a princess.”

And Watts let slip that she took fashion tips from her daughter. “This look was pretty fierce. I tried a couple outfits on in fittings and Kai liked this best on me. She has great taste, so I listen to her.”

Their appearance together follows Schreiber walking in the Celine Spring/Summer 2026 show in Paris on Sunday (6 July). Watts could be heard cheering her 16-year-old daughter who made her modelling debut earlier this year, walking for Maison Valentino.

The moment in Paris follows another mother-daughter moment the pair shared when Watts helped Schreiber apply her glam at an Armani event.

On Kai’s fourteenth birthday in 2022, Watts posted on Instagram that she was “beyond proud” to be her mum. Her father, Spotlight star Liev Schreiber, is also a vocal supporter of his daughter. “Kai was always who Kai is,” he said in an interview with Variety.
