Something Chappell Roan related is on the horizon, and it could be with us sooner than expected.

Eagle-eyed fans of the queer “Pink Pony Club” hitmaker have spotted two posters cropping up in New York City, which seem to tease that a new song is dropping very soon.

Poster number one, printed in black and white, disguises the 27-year-old singer in a huge wig and facial hair, with just her brooding eyes poking through.

“Attention!! Lost wig. Last seen at the Court St Station,” the poster reads.

A second poster features the musician’s face – uncovered, not hairy, and dolled up – complete with her signature locks in fiery red.

This poster reads: “Going through a break up? Get bangs!”

On closer inspection, fans have noticed a tag on the second poster which reads: “Best before August 1”.

Fans of the Grammy Award-winning “Good Luck, Babe!” singer have been sent into meltdown, and are speculating that whatever Roan is cooking up, it could be released on 1 August.

Hair appears to be a through line in whatever she’s set to release next, as earlier this month, she was spotted filming something while donning a huge, Rapunzel-esque wig.

According to fans who walked by the film site, Roan was playing her unreleased fan favourite song “The Subway”, leaving many theorising that the track could soon be released.

Chappell Roan played “The Subway” during her The Midwest Princess Tour in 2024, and fans have requested an official version since.

Chappell Roan grits her teeth as she lays on the floor outside on a New York street, wearing a grey suit. She is wearing a huge red wig and is seemingly being pulled along by a taxi.

In one of the photos shared from the shoot, Roan’s wig is attached to a classic New York taxi, which had “8×22” as the digits on its number plate.

Some fans voiced their theory that “The Subway” would therefore be released on 22 August.

Yet, with the new posters seemingly teasing 1 August as a release date, fans could soon be getting a brand new Chappell Roan song sooner than initially thought.

It would mark her first release since her country-tinged sapphic dom top banger “The Giver”, which she shared back in March.
