Mother Monster is mothering again! During a recent stop in California as part of her ongoing Mayhem Ball tour, Lady Gaga donned a sash in the colours of the transgender Pride flag.
The “Abracadabra” singer and major LGBTQ+ ally performed at the Los Angeles’ Kia Forum last night (28 July), and during the first segment, she added a trans pride embellishment to her look.
One of the looks sees Gaga perform “Abracadabra” and “Judas” in a ruby red and ruffled gown. Yet for this performance, she reportedly added a sparkling white, pink and blue sash, in a sweet nod to her support for the trans community.
Another image appeared to show Gaga donning a huge, billowing cape in the trans pride flag colours, instead of the usual white-to-rainbow-coloured cape she wears during the segment. Yet these photos appear to be fan edited.
Sharing images of the two heartfelt looks – including the seemingly edited one – trans Drag Race star Gottmik wrote on X: “TRANS GAGA SHOW!?”

“Lady Gaga wearing a trans flag as her sash at the Mayhem Ball, this woman does more for the LGBTIQ+ community than anyone,” shared a second fan.
A third wrote: “Lady Gaga being a trans rights supporter like always.”
Lady Gaga has long been an ardent supporter of the trans community, first expressing her solidarity in the first year of her career by refusing to comment on rumours that she had a penis.
“Why the hell am I gonna waste my time and give a press release on whether or not I have a penis? My fans don’t care and neither do I,” she told Anderson Cooper during a 2009 interview.
“Maybe I do [have a penis], would it be so terrible?”
In 2011, her song “Born This Way” became the first number one track in Billboard history to feature the word “transgender”.

Earlier this year, as she accepted the Best Pop Duo Grammy Award for “Die With A Smile”, her collaboration with Bruno Mars, Gaga urged the audience that “trans people are not invisible”.
“I just want to say tonight that trans people are not invisible,” she said, likely in response to president Donald Trump’s political onslaught against the community.
“Trans people deserve love. The queer community deserves to be lifted up. Music is love. Thank you,” she added.
Speaking to Zane Lowe ahead of the release of her seventh studio album Mayhem in March, she doubled down on her support for the community.
“What I would say first and foremost is what trans people are being faced with in this world is completely unfair, wrong, and there’s this violence that’s taking place on a daily basis in their lives,” Gaga explained.
“I think that we all need to support trans people and each other to know that they deserve to be supported and loved and protected and lifted up.”
She also voiced her support of trans actress Dylan Mulvaney, who faced a barrage of abuse for collaborating with Gaga for International Women’s Day.
In addition to Gaga’s trans pride sash, the star’s first night at California’s Kia Forum was extra special thanks to some extra special guests.
Eagle-eyed pop fans spotted Chappell Roan, Conan Gray, and Olivia Rodrigo in the crowd, all bopping along to “Born This Way”.
Lady Gaga’s Mayhem Ball will tour North America until 18 September. It will tour the UK and Europe until 22 November, before heading to Australia until 13 December. In January 2026, it will tour Japan.
