England Lionesses announce Wembley match against China – here’s how to get tickets

The Euro-winning England team will play an international friendly fixture at Wembley Stadium in November against China PR – tickets for the football match are on sale on Friday (1 August).
The Lionesses will welcome China’s national team, who go by the Steel Roses, for a game on UK soil. This will be a meeting of two reigning continental champions as China PR were AFC Women’s Asian Cup winners back in 2022.
The fixture has been set for Saturday 29 November with a 5.30pm GMT kick-off.
The friendly match will be an important game for the squad: The start of qualification for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup will be just around the corner, in February 2026.
The fixture is the first to be announced in England’s autumn programme. Further details on the October window and a second November game are expected to be released soon.
The last time England played China was in August 2023 in the World Cup group stage. The Lionesses earned a 6-1 victory before going on to become runners-up to Spain.
Goals came from Alessia Russo, Lauren Hemp, Chloe Kelly, Rachel Daly and two goals from Lauren James.
‘World Cup qualifiers are not too far away’
The Steel Roses are ranked 17th by FIFA and will be looking for a win after a summer of draws. They drew 2-2 against Korea Republic and a game of no goals against Japan.
This Wembley match will be the sixth meeting between China and England. Previously, the Lionesses have defeated the Asian side three times, drawn once and lost twice.
With the announcement of this upcoming Lioness game, the team’s manager, Sarina Wiegman, shared: “After an incredible month and the celebrations this week, we are already planning ahead. It will be special to have a final visit to Wembley this year and something for us all to look forward to once the new season starts.
“Even though we have just finished the EURO, our World Cup qualifiers are not too far away,” she continued.
“There are not many opportunities for us to play non-European opposition in the calendar, so I am happy we have been able to secure a top Asian side like China for this FIFA window.
Wiegman also added that facing a squad of players “based away from Europe or the United States” proves to be “a new challenge.
And with the start of the qualification campaign soon approaching, this will be valuable experience with the 2027 World Cup in mind.”
How to get tickets to the England V China match at Wembley
Tickets for the Wembley football match between England and China will be available on Friday (1 August).
Be sure to grab tickets as soon as possible as it’s expected a sell-out crowd will be in attendance to cheer on the Lionesses off the back of their Women’s Euro 2025 victory.
My England Football members will have the chance to purchase tickets between Friday (1 August) and Sunday (3 August).
Tickets will then be on general sale on Monday (4 August).
