Jenna Ortega’s Wednesday Addams is poised to return for Wednesday season two – and she’ll be accompanied by Lady Gaga, who has reportedly recorded a new track for sophomore year.

As reported by Variety, Lady Gaga, who is set to appear in Wednesday season two alongside a cast of A-Listers both returning and new to the franchise, will drop “Dead Dance” to herald sophomore year at Nevermore Academy.

The Netflix show follows Jenna Ortega as the moodiest day of the week, and while the first season saw the oldest child of the Addams Family begin to harness some creepy psychic abilities (and foil a dastardly plot), season two promises just as much intrigue.

And if the rumoured addition of a new Lady Gaga single is anything to go by, there’ll also be just as much toe-tapping as heads rolling in season two of the Tim Burton-directed series.

The first season of Wednesday helped Mother Monster’s “Bloody Mary” go viral after it was featured in a prom scene, so it’s no surprise that Lady Gaga is expanding her musical catalogue with an original offering.

According to Variety, Lady Gaga will play Rosaline Rotwood, a “legendary Nevermore teacher who crosses paths with Wednesday,” and will drop “Dead Dance” and its video at the same time as she appears in the show. Reps for the pop icon refused to comment the reports.

Gaga and Ortega have been seen collaborating before the drop of season two, though; at Netflix’s ‘TUDUM’ event in June, the pair performed “Zombieboy” and “Abracadabra”, from recent record Mayhem.

“Dead Dance” is reportedly from the same team that helmed the Mayhem album.

And yes, Wednesday has already been confirmed to be returning for season three by Ortega herself.
