Here are the seven most gagworthy moments from the Las Culturistas Culture Awards – including everything from Dylan Efron’s sl*tty little back arch to Reneé Rapp’s lesbian monologue.
The Academy Awards? Dead to us. The Grammys? Flopped. The VMAs? Found wigless. Because it’s all about the most iconic award show in town: The Las Culturistas Culture Awards, hosted by Wicked‘s Bowen Yang and Fire Island star Matt Rogers.
Born from the pair’s pop culture podcast Las Culturistas, the 2025 awards took place 17 July, but were only televised (for the first time) on Bravo, 6 August.
And as expected, the show featured iconic award categories, gagworthy attendees and more than a few musical numbers.
Competing for the award for ‘Most Iconic Moment at the fourth annual Las Culturistas Culture Award’, the nominees are:
Ben Platt singing Addison Rae’s ‘Diet Pepsi’
What do you get when you cross Dear Evan Hansen star Ben Platt and pre-eminent pop princess Addison Rae? You might think the answer would be ‘a car crash’, but as it turns out, the correct response would be an unexpectedly fierce cover of Rae’s seminal hit, “Diet Pepsi”.
As one fan wrote on X: “And if I say I need this ben platt diet pepsi cover on spotify immediately.”
Un. Touched. X. O. Young. Love. Let’s. Go.

The ‘Creatine Award for Straight Male Excellence’
We know, should straight men really be awarded for anything? Don’t they already have so much? Well, the Creatine Award for Straight Male Excellence nominated Bad Bunny for his Calvin Klein ad (fair), Senator Bernie Sanders (also fair), Sebastian Stan (also fair) and Jack Antonoff for his work on Sabrina Carpenter’s “Manchild”.
But the award went to perhaps the fairest in all the land; Andy Samberg, and was presented by Jack Quaid and Dylan Efron (with pictures of their sl*tty little arches in the background).
Samberg accepted the accolade in a gilet, backwards cap, a Yoda impression and a speech reminding the audience to “rise and grind”.

Reneé Rapp’s big lesbian monologue
Who better to present the Reneé Rapp Award for Power in Lesbianism, than Powerful Lesbian Reneé Rapp?
The Bite Me songstress took to the stage to deliver an iconic yet brief monologue, before announcing the nominees: Probably your grandma even though she was married to your grandpa for fifty years, Women in film crews wearing hard clothes to do their tough job, Miss Honey – Matilda, Muna and Carabiners).
“Pants, fingers, She-go from Kim Possible,” Rapp said. “If these words mean something to you, you might be a lesbian, raise your hand. Side effects include short nails, political activism, and hours of talking after you’ve resolved an issue, so much so that it turns into a different one.”

The entire ‘In Absentia’ bit – featuring KATSEYE, Lucy Dacus, Chappell Roan and more
An undoubtable highlight of the Las Culturistas Awards, Yang and Rogers took the time to appreciate those who couldn’t attend – not because they had passed away, but because they had more important things to do.
Those beamed in via video messages included Troye Sivan and Amy Poehler, and Chappell Roan’s reason for absence was “guinea pig emergency”, while Michelle Yeoh’s was “trapped under diamonds”.
Oh, also, the whole thing was set to a cover of Aerosmith’s “I Don’t Wanna Miss a Thing”. And then Lucy Dacus – previously listed as “Never followed up” – joined them onstage to finish the song. Camp

Kristen Wiig’s wig during the ‘Best Batman Woman’ Award
One of the categories at the LCCAs was ‘Best Batman Woman’, and featured the nominees Poison ivy, Dr. Chase Meridian, Catwoman (Michelle Pfeiffer), Robyn (spelled with y. This is the Riddler’s assistant Robyn whose scenes were cut) and Catwoman (Anne Hathaway).
The winner was announced as the mysterious Robyn – who was then revealed to be Kristen Wiig in a very suspicious wig.
“This is for all the women who type. Who have to help their bosses into tight shiny outfits. Who stay up late wondering: is Gotham, New York?”

Lisa Rinna dressed as everything from Timothée Chalamet to Demi Moore in The Substance
Real Housewives icon Lisa Rinna was apparently drafted into the Outfit of the Year category, modelling five culturally iconic fits. And boy, did she do the damn thing.
Rinna appeared throughout the show, dressed in Demi Moore’s yellow coat from The Substance, as Timothée Chalamet at a Knicks game, in Pedro Pascal’s “Protect the dolls” t-shirt, as “a pretty girl getting coffee in just sweatpants and tank top” and , of course, Lisa Rinna in whatever the f*ck she wants.
Needless to say, the final entry won.
